Frequently Asked Questions
How do the musicians dress?
The musicians can dress in a variety of attires given the event aesthetic, ranging from a colorful business casual for summer outdoor events to all black or tuxedos for more formal occasions.
Will you perform outdoors?
Absolutely, as long as it is an area that is large enough that in the case of rain, the musicians and their and their instruments will not get wet.
Do there have to be breaks or can we have continuous music?
Playing an instrument, especially a brass instrument, is physically demanding and can result in injury done without time to rest. However, we are experienced in pacing the music so that it will blend seamlessly together without any noticeable pauses.
WILL YOU HELP CHOOSE MUSIC FOR OUR EVENT?
Absolutely! That's what we are here for. We understand that every couple deserves a wedding that is unique to them. We will gather ideas about your particular wedding theme and style, then we will suggest music that is in line with your vision of the wedding
MY BROTHER/SISTER/FRIENDS WOULD LIKE TO SING A SPECIAL SONG. CAN YOU ACCOMPANY HIM/HER/THEM?
Of course. We will be happy to communicate directly with them ahead of time to work out musical details. In most cases we will require a short rehearsal at the venue before the event or wedding prelude starts. A fee for the rehearsal time will apply.
Do you play at receptions as well as ceremonies?
Yes, we play during cocktail, dinner, and if there is no dance band, the whole of the reception. Our repertoire allows a wide range of musical styles, from Baroque to modern pop and jazz and showtunes.
